Lubricants

Why is lubricant useful?

Lubricants for sexual activities is more useful than one might think.  It is always a good idea to have a bottle handy for those moments is needed or wanted!   Here are some reasons below:

- Feel of sex:  Adding a lubricant to your sexual activities can simply change how it feels.  Penetration can be wetter and more slippery, changing how friction (or lack of) is experienced and adding to the eroticism.

- Longer sessions:  For those of us wanting to enjoy a long lasting session, lube is really the ideal way to accomplish that.  Natural lubrication may not be able to comfortably or safely provide pleasurable glide at certain point.  With a bottle of lube, your session last as long as your interest does!

- Physical limitations:  For a variety of reasons, our bodies can simply not be up to the task of creating enough lubricant to satisfy our sexual wants and needs.  Medications, physical or mental illness/injury, or menopause can impact how much natural vaginal lubrication is created.  Lubrication eases friction and can aid in achieving pain-free penetration from physical or mental impairments.

- Toy usage:  Toys are delightful addition to our penetrative delights.  However, because of how we tend to use toys (more enthusiastic thrusting) or the way they are constructed (size, shape, and material) they use up lubrication more quickly.

- Anal:  Lubricant is a useful (or even required) for several purposes.  First, it is absolutely required for anal penetration as the rectum and anal canal do not produce even near the amount of lubricant necessary for toy or penis penetration.  Without lubricant anal penetration can be painful, and not in a good way.   Also, no lubrication makes anal penetration high risk for damage to the anus or rectum or the transfer of infections via tears in the tissues.

Other:  It doesn't stop there!  Flavored lubricants can make for delicious oral in addition to lubricating.  Lubricants can be useful for any outercourse rubbing, or "frottage", like between breasts, feet, arms, legs, and so on.  Silicone or oil lubricants also work well for massage as they do not evaporate and are, well, slippery.  Lastly, silicone lubricants repel water and can help add lubrication for sexy time in a bath or shower.
