How to

Stimulate the Prostate

Welcome to the "P-spot"!

The prostate is a walnut sized organ in anatomical males, below the bladder, that contributes to seminal fluid.  It also can quite pleasurable to massage!  The trick is its location and determining how to get there for a satisfying experience.  It is best done through the front of the rectum, requiring some ability and comfort with anal penetration.  In this guide, we will provide some tips to not only finding, but also stimulating this tucked away erogenous zone.

Preparation:  As with any anal activity, one should come prepared with the critical three ingredients.  First, find and use whatever method of relaxation that is good for you.  This helps ease tension in the pelvic floor muscles and allow for more comfortable entry.  Second, be prepared to take your time.  Even experienced anal practitioners know that you don't just jump right in.  If you are new to anal entry, patience and listening to your body is the key to a good experience.  Lastly, have plenty of lubricant on hand.  This ESSENTIAL to anal penetration of any kind and prostate stimulation is no different. Apply as much and as often as is needed.

Find the prostate:  Now that you are all prepped, what now?  How do you do this?  First, you should be familiar with where the prostate actually is and how to get there.  The prostate is a walnut sized and shaped organ below the bladder and in front of the anal canal.  Less than two inches from the anus, it can be reached and stimulated solo or by a partner.  The prostate can also be stimulated by applying firm, massaging pressure to the perineum (space between anus and scrotum).  However, with more tissue in between, this method will be far more challenging to use.  It is just as likely to chafe or bruise than it would be to bring pleasure.

Using fingers:  While using your own fingers to find and stimulate the prostate is perfectly do-able, a partner will have a much easier time.  A partner can alleviate cramped hands and fingers, but it is certainly not required.  Choose whatever scenario is most comfortably for you to explore.  Either way, simply reach one or two lubricated fingers into the anus and curl them towards the front of the body.    Feel for that walnut sized organ just beyond the wall of the rectum and massage firmly.  This is very similar to the "come hither" motion recommended for g-spot stimulation.   Let your body guide what feels good as you experiment with technique or adding other activities.

Using toys:  P-spot toys are similar to many other anal toys except they will have a forward tilting curve or bulb.  This allows them to more naturally rest against the prostate, applying gentle but firm pleasurable pressure.  There is a vast variety of styles and designs.  Many prostate toys are also mechanical and add vibration or massage to this internal stimulation.  Like any anal toy, follow our anal tips, and combine p-spot toy use with solo or partner play.  Many people report more intense climaxes with prostate stimulation added.  Standard anal plugs can work as any inserted object will put some degree of pressure on the prostate.  However, for more reliable and direct pleasure, select a prostate specific toy.

What to expect:  Getting started with prostate stimulation may not be an explosive, mind blowing experience from the get go.  This is especially true if this is also a first introduction to anal play of any kind.  It will likely take some practice to achieve the best outcome.  Know that prostate massage alone does not guarantee an orgasm or ejaculation.  In fact, we recommend you combine prostate massage with genital pleasure if an orgasm is the goal.  The addition of the prostate can then add a good possibility of more intense orgasms.  While it may not turn out prostate play is something you are into, it has just a good of a chance to become a new and exciting twist in your bedroom fun.  Prostate massage can also offer some degree of therapy for those suffering from some prostate conditions through relief of inflammation and fluid build up.
