How to use a penis pump

How to rise to the occassion.  Maximize.  Yes.  Bigger.  Not so much.

The popular myth is that a penis pump is a tool used to make a penis bigger.  It is perpetuated in our pop culture (anyone remember Austin Powers?) and by manufacturers' willingness to mislead potential customers through packaging and marketing.  We are here to say that this is NOT what they are built for NOR do they actually have any permanent effect on penis size.

Here is what they ARE for:  Penis pumps are used to rise to the occasion, to gain an erection.  They can be also used for exercise (gaining an erection helps keep vessels and tissue healthy) and for self pleasure.

Erections are often critical for most penis owners to experience sexual stimulation that leads to orgasm.  Greatly simplified, an erection occurs when signals from the brain travel down the spine, nitric oxide is released, smooth muscles relax, and blood flows into the erectile tissue.  A variety of conditions exist that can impede that process in some fashion.

A pump steps in to provide the vital blood flow.  It does this by creating an air vacuum (some use water) around the penis.  This moves blood into the penis and the vessels inside the erectile tissue.  The next step is to determine that, once erect, if the penis stays erect.  Often troubles attaining an erection comes with additional trouble of keeping the erection.  Wearing a ring after pumping helps keep that precious blood inside the penis and its erect state.

Penis Pump

First assemble necessary items:  The pump, water based lubricant, c-ring ring (if needed/wanted), a towel/washcloth for lubricant clean up

If using a c-ring (cockring):  Place ring on pump cylinder just above the opening for easier transfer.  Can also wear the ring during pumping, but can make pumping more awkward.  Can also set aside and put on after pumping if the timing works for your individual erection needs.

How to use a penis pump (air driven):

Lube up:  Apply small amount of water based lube on penis and/or entrance to pump (the sleeve).  This is a surprisingly important step.  Lubricant allows the penis to slide into the pump cylinder easier than dragging it across dry rubber.

Prep the penis for pumping:  Place penis at the entrance of the sleeve/donut at the mouth of the pump.  All is needed is a seal to allow suction to occur.

Pump!:  Begin pumping and your penis should be drawn into the cylinder and right where it needs to be.  This is where that lubricant is so useful.  Keep pumping until fully erect.  Do not over pump, this risks damage to the tissue of the penis.

Apply the ring (if needed):  If you are using a ring to keep the erection and storing it on the cylinder, now is the time to move it to the penis.  It can be placed anywhere on the shaft, but preferentially as far back as possible.  We even recommend behind the scrotum to get as much shaft/erection in front of the ring.

Release the vacuum:  All pumps should have a vacuum release button or mechanism.   Using it when done pumping enables easy removal of the penis from the cylinder.  If you set aside a ring, put it on as quickly as possible to keep as much blood inside the penis as possible.

Use it!:  Now your erection is ready for whatever sexy activity you have planned!

Wash it:  Most pumps can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water and left to air dry.  Refer to the manual if they are motorized or have more complicated mechanisms.
