Do you or your partner(s) need help achieving an erection? Still enjoying sex but cant get an erection fully or on your own? Whether you want to increase sensitivity or if there's an underlying condition, we are happy to help! In our next section we'll be discussing penis pumps. Do they actually work? Let's find out together.
Penis Pumps, Do They Work?
We have all seen the ads, right? The ones offering to help make you bigger by using a pump? Well, those ads claim that if you want to get bigger, you want more to offer so to say, get a pump and let the problems fade away, right? Obviously it's true, it's on the internet for crying out loud. It's the same logic as if I were to tell you that unicorns only feed on rainbows and dreams. The penis pump is actually designed to enhance the erection. The way the penis pump works is that it creates a seal along with an air vacuum effect in order to draw blood to the penis. That's it. Now, some people use pumps for fun and just to add some increased blood flow along with the sensitivity of doing so. Others may suffer from a physical or medical condition and are looking for solutions. Both are completely valid reasons. If you are suffering from a condition such as Erectile Dysfunction and are trying to find a low cost solution this may be one option. Of course there are oral prescriptions available to help those with such conditions, but you will need to check with your physician to be sure they are a safe option for you.
So, let's think for a minute. How might some people think these pumps are making them bigger? When the pump draws blood to the penis it allows the user the ability to maximize their erection. This may make you appear slightly larger than you are accustomed to or may even have a swelling effect "adding girth". The penis is now just at max capacity and is holding as much blood as it can. The pump is giving the appearance of being larger when it's actually just as big as it can be. There is no way for the tube over your penis to make you grow more skin, so no permanent enlargement is occurring. If your goal with a pump was to increase your length or girth, there are easier and more effective options. There are products such as penis extenders and sleeves. Some even have a texture for new or different sensations.
To finish up, the short answer is yes, penis pumps do work. However these pumps will function as they are designed to help create an erection and may not be a solution for all issues for all people. Remember every body is different and every person will have a unique experience with each pump.

We love showing off our team and the beautiful souls they are. We recently brought in a new member to our FTLOI family and would like to give her the biggest welcome! Aelish is another beautiful smiling face here and is such a happy addition to our team. She enjoys reading romance novels in her free time along with spending quality time with her husband. Moving here from a previously conservative community, she is most excited to learn new things and help others learn as well. Entering an adult store for some people is definitely intimidating, especially when you've not been around such a sex positive and open environment. When Aelish first explored FTLOI it took her just a few minutes to realize what a positive and safe space we provide and take pride in. To quote Aelish, " really liked the vibe." No pun intended, but who doesn't love a good vibe?! Aelish is so excited to learn and grow with us and we are so very excited to have her on our team. Please welcome Aelish as she joins us on our crazy FTLOI family adventures.

This month’s top question from you!  Â
What if I want to do anal but I’m scared of the mess? Won't it hurt? Â
People tend to hold themselves to a standard of perfection that is not realistic. Remember everyone deals with shit. Your ancestors, kings, queens, and even complete strangers had to take a shit at some point, right? As with all things in life, sometimes shit happens. Everyone has different levels of cleanliness they are wanting or expecting when participating in anal sex. Keep in mind you are already being very vulnerable with your partner and sometimes things happen, you laugh, deal with it, and you move on.
If you are concerned about the "poo-factor" of anal sex just know there are various cleansing options. Some people like to do an enema beforehand. Enemas are the most effective means of removing poop that could be left behind from the rectum. To use an enema take the enema bulb itself, fill with warm water, then insert the nozzle portion into either yourself or your partners anus and squeeze as much of that water out as possible. About one to five minutes later go ahead and release the water in the toilet. There is another easy option that may not be as thorough but would clean mostly the outside of the anus and a small fraction of the inside. Take warm water and a rag to cleanse the anus. One more option would be to take a bath or shower beforehand. For a positive anal experience remember all of these options are a cleanliness preference and not a requirement.
Moving on to the pain aspect of anal sex. Pain is your body's alert mechanism to help you avoid damage. Anal activities are supposed to be a fun activity for everyone involved. Done right there is no pain, but tons of pleasure. If you begin to feel any pain during penetration stop the activity. Pain is the body's way of preventing damage. Always ensure you and your partner have an open line of communication.
Now let's talk about lube. Lube is an absolute essential to having a positive and enjoyable anal experience. The anus does not naturally have its own lubrication. In general with anal play if you think you have enough lube, add a little more. Adding lube will not only help to lubricate and make penetration easier but will also help with the pain factor. Remember the anus is designed to push things out, not take them in. Using a lot of lube and a little extra will allow for easier and more enjoyable penetration. Having a thicker lube could be helpful since it does not absorb so quickly into the body. Make sure that when you use the lube you get it inside the anus and not just on what you are using for penetration. Getting lube inside can be done by hand. Making things easier on yourself there are products you can use rather than applying the lube by hand, such as the lube tubes! Lube tubes are used like a syringe to help get lube into the anus easily. Now all you have to do is take your time, relax, and start small. The feeling of having something in your ass is not something you may be used to. Starting with small plugs is a great intro to anal sex. Plugs can be made of all kinds of materials like silicone, glass, TPE, TPR, PVC, and stainless steel. Choosing one material over another will really come down to your own preference.
Remember, the only way we find we like or don't like something is to try it out. This process can sometimes feel frustrating and that is completely valid. Be patient, breathe, and communicate with your partner(s). Try your best to relax and try to focus on letting your muscles relax. Breathe big deep breaths and go slow. Don’t worry about the little things, focus on the moment. Take some pride in being you and how courageous you are to try this new activity even if it's a bit intimidating.
Finishing up, remember safe sex is the best sex. Everyone who's participating should be enthusiastically consenting and enjoying every bit of it. We hope to help you and your partner(s) learn, grow, and enjoy together. Please submit your questions and we may be able to help answer! Check back next month to see if others are wondering the same.
XOXO~Sasha
